This job is mainly working with police dogs and often having the dog as a part of your family too. Police dog handlers train dogs both on general obedient, such as following basic hand signals; and specific skills, such as detecting criminals, tracking missing persons, searching building, and protecting their handler. Qualifications
It is necessary that handlers must love dogs and are confident around dogs. They must have an intuitive sense that can motivate a dog. The salary for a police dog handler varies depending on whether he is employed with a police force or a private training company. Each state and geographical location can affect the salary as well as level of experience.
